You will recall I have mentioned my baking attempts a number of times. In my continued efforts to eat more ‘clean’ foods that are free from preservatives I decided to start making my own cereal bars as I discovered the stop bought one’s had more sugar than I thought. In addition, I discovered it wasn’t that difficult to make. And so began my quest for healthy bars and cookies.
I have had a few hits and misses but I will soldier on, the truth is they are delicious; I have to stop myself from eating just one at a time. Other ‘areas’ I am going to make changes are – making my own salad dressings, ice creams, lemonade, etc. It may be a challenging, as it will mean using my free time (I work full time) in order to achieve this. I suppose it will just have to be a bit of organisation but I am determined to do all I can to continue this healthy lifestyle.
Moving on, I have not been able to exercise in the last one week because I have been experiencing very sharp random pain in my lower back, added to that is pain on the left side of my knee. I think I may have over done it with the workouts, the back pain is probably a recurrence of the fall I had a couple of years ago. I am gutted that I can’t exercise; I will have to book an appointment with my doctor.
