Spring/Summer Eating

Now that spring is here, it is only appropriate to start planning Summer foods and drinks; which is exactly what I have been doing in the last few weeks. It is so easy to get carried with food in summer especially Barbeques, picnic and all those garden parties. Unfortunately, most of the food served at these events can be quite high in fat but if you are familiar with your healthy food you should be able to pick it up easily. Unlike restaurants, you can pick and choose what you want on your plate. If you are planning a picnic then you can decide what you want but like I always say there is no point making others feel uncomfortable just because they are not into the healthy lifestyle. Basically, you can add one or two fatty foods to share with the others.
Contrary to what people think, not all healthy foods are boring. All you have to do is check Pinterest, type in ‘Summer Food’ and you will see what I mean. Don’t forget drinks as well. Speaking of which you may want to start planning your daily summer meals, I certainly have: shakes, smoothies, salads, open sandwiches, wraps and counting as I am still on the look out for more recipes.
