Time for a change – well a bit.

Following the continued success of my workout routine I decided to follow it up with a new diet menu. No I am not talking about one of the fad diets. My healthy eating is one I have customised to suit my requirements/lifestyle. However, I felt it needed a revamp. So I looked at the food groups built on what I was missing or having too much of, etc.
I have added gluten and low carb foods to my eating plan. I am not going for a strict routine I am merely trying out varieties. For example, have gluten free breakfast, perhaps a low carb lunch if I had one high in carbs the day before. Anyway I am sure you get the idea.
I also plan to start cooking home made soups. I have, following my baking adventure bought a book on breads. This should go nicely with the soups. As I have a hectic lifestyle I will be doing this every couple of weeks.
This week we had a healthy lifestyle event at work which included a free 5 minute head and shoulder massage. There were food samples, recipe demos (without the oven) for blue muffins, posh beans on toast, using cannelli beans. It was delicious, goes really well with bloomer bread, perfect for a Saturday lunch.One of the time saving tips I picked up was mixing flours and putting it into seal able bags for up to a month. I left with a recipe booklet and replace from the massage.
